We are going to be adding in some new programs for you guys, and I just wanted to get everyone's input before we start.
The Farm Point System
I'm thinking Nicole's original "Stable Affiliation Program" is better worded for this, but everything's up for debate! Anyway, the point is that this program will keep track of points earned by each barn, resulting in end-of-year awards and kind of a race to see who can do the best.
The thing I'm wanting to know is... do we want to do this based off a percentage of animals, or total points? In other words, if person A has 10 horses and person B has 100 horses, and they both have 100 points earned amongst all their animals, should person A be ranked as having 10 points/animal and person B as 1 point/animal, meaning A is higher than B?
Or should it just be that if B has 101 points and A has 100, B is higher than A no matter how many animals they have?
Also, would you like to see these points additionally seperated out into Dressage, Hunter/Jumper, Eventing and Halter points, or only see total standings? Will you compete? This program would require a lot of record keeping on your part to make sure your pages are updated for a monthly review to determine current standings...
Points... ah points
In light of a RL trend for Verbands to seperate points into dicipline, I'm thinking we are going to do a bit of a hybrid. I would like to know if you can all keep the points seperated, though you can have a tally of total points. The only titles earned through the Verband are predicates such as Keur, Elite, etc. For these, points are sometimes combined and sometimes seperated.
I've posted for the Mare Under Saddle Performance Test that you can apply those points to your dicipline of choice- but only one dicipline.
So basically there are no "general" points, points are awarded in one of four categories and then to find the total points you just add all of those together. Is this how we want to keep it?
more coming Feel free to make suggestions!r
