Doing some random research, it came to my knowledge that Akhal-Tekes are often approved for Russian Warmblood & Budjonny breedings. Since I have several Akhal-Tekes competing in English sports, I figure now is as good a time as any to ask if any other breeds besides the TB & Arab would be allowed if there were a real life basis for it? Another real life example is the use of an Appaloosa mare with a Knabstrupper stallion for pure Knabstrupper foals; could she therefore be approved for breeding? If not, could we still breed our approved stock to these other horses and have the resulting foals be allowed to be registered & compete? Thanks for your time

As of right now, we won't be allowing any breeds except recognized Warmbloods, Arabians and Thoroughbreds to be registered.
However, to answer your second question, foals out of these horses would still be eligible as long as they didn't have more than the 25% draft blood allowed in their pedigrees. They would not do as well at inspection if they were out of say a cutting horse, but I know what you mean about the Knabbys - it's a common cross and very acceptable if the Appaloosa mare is of a sporting type (which so many of them are).
This is something we will closely evaluate on a case-by-case basis.
