So I think we've decided to go ahead and do the databases on PDF files, instead of on a registry. They look great, you only need Adobe reader (which is free and is on many computers standard) to see them and they will be closer resembling what most real life Verbands use.
Horses will be given a registration # that will consist of a breed number (1, 2, 3, etc. with a max. of 9 breeds - rarer breeds will all be under breed #9 but will still be seperated in the registry) and then a three digit horse number.
At this time, these are the breed numbers we have...
#1 Hanoverian #2 Hosteiner #3 Oldenburg #4 Rheinlander #5 Westfalen
...in no order except the order of the foals in the first foal inspection.
The PDF files will be posted on the web site as soon as they are finished. At this time we are only working on the main book, but seperate books for each group will be added in the near future.
If any of you have any objections to this, please post here.

Um..I'm attempting to reformat them, so they are more detailed and are easier to navigate. So please bare with me. Especially for the stallions, since people will be looking at them for breeding. - Approved Foals

NICE! PDF sucks for slower computers though. But if you can add in clickable links and it's easier to format and use, I'm all for it Though I disagree to only listing 8 breeds and the 9th being all the rest. What happens if one breed in the 9th suddenly becomes more popular than one of the 8 listed breeds? And what about Arabs and Thoroughbreds and other breeds that are allowed for crossing in real life to create pure offspring (such as a Knabstrupp and Appaloosa)?

It looks very Nice and professional! Restless does have a good point though, maybe make it 10 and the 10th be all thoroughbreds, arabians, and crosses?

Well, I'm thinking we should x-day on the listing by breed, and just list them all together. Or have a different file for each breed. I just don't know here.
On one hand, having different files for each breed means they are easier to search through. On the other, having them all together means they are easier to compare.

They aren't numbered, that's just the order they where sorted by in the Registry.
I'm thinking about going back to a web based one, so that all people can access it.
